Canon IJ Printer Driver

IJ Printer Driver for Linux (referred to as printer driver below) includes a program that prints from an application software or a terminal software on Linux to a Canon IJ printer and a program that displays the printer and print status.
Please make sure to read the below file provided with this printer driver.
The "X.XX" in the file name is the version number.

Use this software with the following system and system environment:

Use the machine in the system environment recommended by the distribution being used.

Fedora (32 bit, 64 bit)

Ubuntu (32 bit, 64 bit)

X Window System is required for either distribution.

About this manual

This is the manual for the Linux version of the printer driver.

This manual uses the strings "MB5300" and "mb5300" for model specific descriptions.

Please replace them with the string for your model.

Descriptions in this manual that depend on driver version refers to the use of "5.40", "5.40-x", and "540".

Please reinterpret it according to the driver version you are using.

This manual uses the conventions shown below:

Fedora is used for the sample screens in this manual.

It uses an example in which "MB5300USB (or MB5300LAN)" is used to register the printer to the spooler in this manual.

The descriptions in this manual assume that the CUPS spooler is being used.

Firefox is used as the browser for checking the display of this manual.

This manual is intended to be viewed on Linux.

To view the "Online Manual," which describes the main unit operations, you must connect to the Internet.
Note that the customer is responsible for paying the Internet connection costs.
